Manicure and Pedicure Tips

What is Manicure and Pedicure ?
Well manicured nails can make be the difference between a great first impression and a poor one. The way you keep your nails says a lot about you as a person, so keeping them is tip top condition is a must. If you want to make sure your nails always look nice, put together a little manicure kit that you can take anywhere.

A pedicure is a way to improve the appearance of the feet, and their nails. It basically is a manicure for the feet. The word pedicure comes form the Latin words pes, which means foot, and cura, which means care. It also means the care of the feet and toenails. A pedicure can be helpful because it can prevent nail diseases and nail disorders.

If you don’t live close to a spa or salon, or if you want to retain your pedicures and manicures at home, pedicure sets and manicure sets will be of immense help. Nail files that come with these sets can be used to make your nail smoother and also work on nails that are jagged and uneven.

is it ok for a male to get a manicure and pedicure?

Question by BC: is it ok for a male to get a manicure and pedicure?
I know its looked down on by many men. But I do like my nails to look nice. lately I guess due to axiety I have bitten all of my nails and they look pretty bad. Sometimes I find myself bitting them and not even noticing at first. Are there any ways to stop bitting instead of the obvious answer just stop bitting them? Also I lately have been thinking if I do go to a nail shop to get my toes also done. No color or girly stuff just get them done and have them looking nice. I have no corns or anything but to me my nails look pretty bad. there no discoloration or anything just seriously need to be done. Should I been embarrased about getting them done? Also how much would a Pedicure and medicure cost together and seperate?

Is it ok to use my own tools while getting a manicure/pedicure?

Question by nicole: Is it ok to use my own tools while getting a manicure/pedicure?
I know this sounds weird, but when I go to get my nails and toes done, is it okay to bring in my own tools (nail clipper, filer, polish, etc.)? Is it offensive? I prefer to use my own things because I’m a clean/germ freak. I also notice so far the people who do my nails don’t really sanitize their tools, they just take it out of their box, use it, wipe it on a towel, then put it back into their boxes. So, I want to bring in my own tool. Also, if anyone can tell me where I can purchase good quality tools as well, that would be helpful. I don’t want to be bring in cheap tools and make it harder on them to do their work. Thanks so much! =)

Definitely bring your own tools. It’s your body, and nail infections are horrible. Not sure where to get good quality. Check out a professional nail technician site?

I think it’s fab idea, although surely the customers would have to pay more? Because it couldn’t be cheap to provide all of that… But yes, a great idea. I’m always so bored waiting… Good Luck ;)

It depends what kind of manicure you’re getting. Usually at the places I’ve been to if you just get a regular manicure/pedi, it’s about 30 dollars together.
